Raising Babies After a Stroke
It is scary to think about becoming a parent with your new disability, but you can do it! Your baby won’t expect you to be any different than you are.
Diaper Changes One-Handed
Holding a Newborn
You won't have trouble holding your baby for short periods of time. For longer holds, I recommend the Baby K’tan baby wearing sling.

Getting a Toddler Dressed
One-Hand Friendly Stroller
The Chicco Bravo Mini Plus Stroller was one-hand friendly.
One-Hand Friendly Carseat
I used the Chicco Fit 360 Revolving Carseat once my baby was big enough for a toddler seat. As a newborn, we modified a Chicco Keyfit by removing one handle button for easier use.
Sometimes car seat buttons are too stiff for one hand. The Bucklebee tool made it easy to press them.
Sippy Cup Trick
I tightened sippy cup lids by holding them with my feet!
I used this sippy cup because it has no handles, making it easier to tighten with one hand.
